A Daily Prayer

Dear God, I confess with shame and humility how much my worship has been in the power and the will of my flesh. I have dishonored you by this, grieving Your Spirit, and bringing immeasurable loss to my own soul. Forgive me and save me from this sin. Teach me never to attempt to worship you except in spirit and in truth. Father, Your Holy Spirit dwells in me. Strengthen me with power by Him, that my inner man may indeed be a spiritual temple, where sacrifices are unceasingly offered. Teach me to yield self and the flesh and wait for the Spirit to create in me worship that is acceptable to You through Christ Jesus. I ask this in the Name of Jesus, amen.
